The female form threads through everything I make even when she isn't fully visible. She is present in the curve of a shape, the weight of a color, a suggestive outline.

I paint women because I am one. Aging, changing, caught in the middle of things, beautiful in ways that don't always get named. My figures aren't idealized. They are real, the way a body is real when it's yours and you've been living in it a while.
